Had a pretty great weekend. We went to the Edinburgh Outlet Mall. Very nice outlet mall on I-65 just north of Columbus. If yer in the area, stop in. They have a Coach, Harry and David, Gap, Reebok, Children's Place, Oshkosh, Carter's, and a Wilson's Leather. I was looking for sweaters for the kids new Xmas pictures. Went through the entire mall and didn't find a damn thing that wasn't pink for molly. The very last store I went to was The Children's Place. Found about 5 different sweaters for her and an equal number for Simon. Always the last place you look, eh? I can't afford a Coach bag, prolly never will, not even at the outlet prices, but I am buying a very nice collection of coordinating wallets, checkbook covers, etc. They're smooth red leather so they go with black and brown purses. I bought the checkbook cover saturday. It's sad when your wallet is worth more than everything in it. I love leather. Bought some chocolate covered raisins and Harry and David's and a maple walnut cheesecake. Got some great long sleeved t-shirts at Casual Corner. They're going out of business. Jason got a couple hats at the Lids outlet. Found a copy of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets on tape for $5 at the Borders Outlet. I thought it would be great to listen to on the drive to Orlando. He can wear headphones, too.
Jason took Simon to the Chuck E. Cheese's in Columbus. He was green every day last week! This week he gets to go to Chicken Little. He's been green three days this week already! I'm so proud of him. :) He's also got his taekwondo graduation next week. I think he goes to yellow belt. :)
Molly is an irritating little monster. She will NOT lay down to sleep until I do. I have to have some personal space, it's making me tense and cranky. When I do lay down with her she manages to make noise and stay up for several hours. It's fun.
Sunday, we took the kids to wal-mart to get their pics done. Molly refused to pose for more than 2 pictures. Great. All that time hunting for a sweater and getting her ready and she throws a fit for longer than she sits for her pics. Simon did fine though. He keeps doing this stupid fake smile though which looks awful. Bought only 3 poses from the 7 they took (that's how they get ya) and 10 holiday cards. If you would like a holiday card, send me your snail mail and I'll get that off to ya. Don't worry, the family all get 'real' pics so the holiday cards are just for our friends. I know, I'm terrible about sending xmas cards..it just slips my mind until too late. I display all the ones we get though and the kids get really excited so please don't stop sending them! :)
Afterwards, molly wanted to watch harry potter so we did. She told me all about the second movie with the little guy with the big ears and the green eyes and the car and the big scary snake! You'd have to hear her say it. She's hilarious. :) Mind like a steel trap, too. Don't say anything in her presence that you don't want repeated. It only looks like she's not paying attention. She'll remind you of what happened suddenly..usually weeks later.
I found out that my $100 worth of fandango tickets from SBC expire 12/31/05. Yippee. If I'd known that I would have used them for Wallace and Gromit and Serenity! Dangit. I've already bought tickets for me and jtn to go to Harry Potter friday night. WOO!!!! I'm so excited. Simon and I will go for his birthday. I need to see it first so I know when he needs to cover his eyes. It's PG-13, ya know.
Yesterday was hell. Very scary storms. Twisters generating just a few miles from here. The kids and I spent quite a while in the downstairs bathroom. They were terrified. I actually saw a piece of siding fall out of one of the trees in the backyard. Major thunderstorms yesterday and today, SNOW. It's not sticking but it's definitely cold and horrible. I hear ya brian2, my sinuses are in agony today.
I think we're going to jtn's grandmothers on Turkey day. We have to be back before Saturday though 'cause Simon's birthday party is Sunday. It's at brenda's and I promised to make all the side dishes and bring the desserts. Lots of cooking to do on Saturday. Also, I want to take simon to harry potter that day. It's his actual birthday, ya know :)
Disneyworld is all set up, except for jtn's tickets which I keep forgetting to do. We're driving. Dad put off ordering the plane tickets until they went up in price so we're all driving. Except for jtn. It's gotten all damn complicated and irritating. I really want to drive for 15 hours before a vacation. Very relaxing. I"ll be the only driver, too.
I guess that's it. We have to go back to the outlet mall to return some stuff this weekend, plus I'd like to get the tree out. We'll be gone a whole week so I think it's only sensible to decorate a week early.
Oh, yes, we need to replace our receiver because the inputs from the tv are fried. Lovely. Luckily, the dvd ones work great so we can enjoy Batman Begins and Star Wars. The new speakers are great..very clear. I could actually hear what the basilisk was saying in HPatCoS. Couldn't do that witht he old speakers.

I haven't decided what we're doing about ours this year.
I think I'm depressed at the lack of progress in my life and just want to send people plain cards with no exciting photographs just because I don't like there's anything worth taking a picture for.

stacey@eboai.org I'm not sure I have your addy anymore..things keep getting lost. I used to be very organised. Now I can't remember where I put things 10 minutes ago, and even worse..I can't remember WHAT I put down.
